Mumsy and I love baking on Saturday afternoons; last Saturday we baked a Victoria sponge cake and this little cute star.

Like floating away...

This image I took about a year ago reminds me of my childhood fantasy of being a white cotton sheet secured by laundry pegs on the washing line in the garden and gently float in the mild breeze, torn between the desire to fly away and be grounded feeling a strong sense of belonging.

That fantasy never faded.

I have a new project: I have decided to scan and publish on my blog most of the b/w and colour photographs from my personal photo albums. I am not a vain person, far from that, and I try not to ask myself too many questions why I want to share these images online, I guess that I want to make my presence known to the world.

A giraffe in St Marks Square

...in Italy it is almost carnival time, and during the carnival in Venice it is quite easy to bump into a giraffe in St. Mark's Square. I took this photo a few years ago while enjoying the surreal fun of the Venetian carnival.
