Jam making, let's start with strawberries...

After a masterclass in jam making at the farm next door,(on the night there were tons of Damson prunes), Mom and I decided to try with strawberries. We simply love jam making, I think it could be as addictive as knitting....

Apple cake take two

As I mentioned in the post below, Mumsy prefers this shot, I guess that it shows off better the texture, the details, and the cake's "yummy-ness"!

From the orchard....

Mumsy and I have been baking over the weekend: a very simple cake with cherries jam and some apples that fell from one of the apple trees in the orchard. Damsons are almost ready, so it is is nearly time to prepare some yummy jams!
I like this photo of the cake, but Mumsy prefers the one above,... and we both think that the cake is utterly delicious!

Mumsy's birthday cake

This is the birthday cake I baked with Mom for her birthday while we were staying at the cottage during our break. It was the first time we baked a cake in an AGA, alas the Victoria sponge cake lost the top layer as it was too brown, not really edible. Once the bottom layer cooled down, we added sumptuous French raspberries jam, cream and sugary decorations and enjoyed the cake. I must add that at the second attempt to bake the cake we were successful and had a two layers sponge cake!

Jam iced biscuits and smiling faces

I am developing a dangerous interest in xmas-themed cookies and biscuits, I'd better turn my camera towards other subjects...
