The cat and the vintage footstool in the garden

This garden makes me think of Alice in Wonderland, the cat, even though it is not really the Cheshire cat, the gigantic clock facing the main street of the village, (and I immediately think of the Mad Hatter rushing about), and the 1970s footstool that reminds me of the mushroom where the caterpillar sits and smokes. I wonder where Alice and the Queen of Hearts are...

I took a similar photograph a few days ago, when the sky was overcast and Autumn rather than Summer was on my mind, but today the red and orange are coming alive and almost shine against the blue sky!
